TSC announces COVID protocol and calendar changes
Sue Scott

Starting Monday, February 14, TSC schools will become mask optional. The TSC Board of School Trustees voted to lift the mask mandate following a decline in positive COVID-19 cases in our community and the availability of the vaccine for all students. However, masks will still be required on school buses because of a federal mandate.

Under the current public health emergency, Indiana schools are still legally required to follow certain control measures; report positive cases, contact trace and quarantine students. You will be notified on an individual basis if your child is identified as a close contact. Students who are fully vaccinated against COVID or can provide proof of a positive COVID test within the last 90 days are not required to quarantine as long as they remain symptom free throughout the quarantine period. For more information, visit the TSC Health Services website.

The recent cancellations due to weather have resulted in some changes in our school calendar. Classes will be in session April 18, which was a built-in snow day. Two additional days will be made up May 25 and May 26, making May 26 our last student day of the school year. February 21 remains a scheduled day off for mid-winter break as well as April 15 for a mid-spring break.
